About The Mark O. Hatfield Lecture Series
For twenty-four years, the Oregon Historical Society’s Mark O. Hatfield Lecture Series has earned a reputation for hosting America’s most prominent historians, biographers, and public officials. The series began at the suggestion of Senator Hatfield, and continues as a tribute to his legacy of public service and as an opportunity to share stories of the people and events that have shaped American history. Past speakers include notable historians and authors David McCullough, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Henry Louis Gates, Jr., Cokie Roberts, and Isabel Wilkerson.
OHS will unveil the 2022 Hatfield Series speaker line-up in mid-October; tickets go on sale to OHS members on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at 10am and to the public on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at 10am. Lectures take place at 7pm at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in downtown Portland. Not a member but do not want to miss out on discounted tickets and early seat selection? Join today!
